[Why Waiting May Be the Biggest Mistake People Make When Considering Senior Living](https://touchmark.com/resource/why-waiting-may-be-the-biggest-mistake-people-make-when-considering-senior-living/): When many people think about senior living, they assume it's something to consider only after a health crisis or major life change. - [Giving Back, One Green Bag at a Time](https://touchmark.com/resource/giving-back-one-green-bag-at-a-time/): As retirement gives people more time to pursue the things that matter most, many residents at Touchmark at The Ranch are choosing to invest that time in serving others. One resident in particular, Roger Brammer, has helped turn that spirit of generosity into an effort that is making a meaningful difference for families across Yavapai County.  - [Doing What We Love to End Alzheimer’s: Touchmark Communities Raise More Than $139,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association](https://touchmark.com/resource/doing-what-we-love-to-end-alzheimers-touchmark-communities-raise-more-than-139000-for-the-alzheimers-association/): At Touchmark, supporting the Alzheimer's Association is more than an annual fundraiser—it's an extension of our mission to enrich people's lives.  - [Wow Stories: Impact and Connection at Touchmark](https://touchmark.com/resource/wow-stories-impact-and-connection-at-touchmark/): Katie and Marvin enjoyed a short-term stay for early fall and winter in a furnished home at Touchmark on West Century. Upon leaving, Katie left her purse outside their apartment door when they moved out. Business Office Manager Jamie was the manager on duty that weekend. When she learned of the left item, she retrieved the purse and called Marvin. They were already home, and he mentioned they would not be back in Bismarck for quite a while. She made a quick decision while she was on the phone with him and decided to meet him the following weekend since Jamie's family was going to spend Christmas vacation at the cabin at Wolf Creek (closer to where Katie and Marvin live). After arriving at the cabin, she called to tell him that she had Katie's purse. They decided to meet and have supper at a local bar and grill that evening, where they frequently dine, as their granddaughter works there. Jamie and her husband Shawn met Marvin and his family for dinner, returned the purse, and enjoyed a great conversation. They mentioned many times how much they enjoyed their stay at Touchmark. Thank you, Jamie, for going above and beyond for this couple who loved calling Touchmark home and are now even more eager to return!  - [Women’s History Month: A Touchmark Resident Feature Story](https://touchmark.com/resource/womens-history-month-a-touchmark-resident-feature-story/): March is Women’s History Month and is a special time to celebrate and reflect on the accomplishments of women in our communities. Tai chi classes then became a big part of my recovery from sudden onset paralysis due to a brain mass. Skills learned during tai chi classes helped in every phase of physical therapy. Balance and being aware of my center was a huge benefit. Even being able to flow chi (energy) into the paralyzed left side helped too. - [Celebrating Siblings & Lifelong Friends at Touchmark](https://touchmark.com/resource/celebrating-siblings-lifelong-friends-at-touchmark/): Every year, Siblings Day is observed on April 10.
